The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A fine layer of dust is visible occasionally. There are drip marks with an increased sheen along the lower edges of the left panel, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a horizontal abrasion to the lower quadrant of the left panel. There is a small accretion at the top of the marble passage of the right panel. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
