The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The edges of the sheet are deckled. The media has shifted in tone. A linear crease is to the upper extreme edge, and a few linear creases are occasionally to the lower register, likely inherent to the sheet. Surface variation and spots of stray media are intermittently, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process and choice of medium. Visible upon close inspection and under ultraviolet light, a few small drip accretions are occasionally to the lower register, most notably the lower left corner. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
