There is minor wear to the edges of the panel. Small networks of drying cracks are scattered to some of the thickly painted passages. Hairline horizontal cracks associated with the woodgrain of the panel are evident in places. A few small losses are to some of the impasto peaks, and to the maroon painted passage at the lower edge. Under ultraviolet light, scattered inpainting is visible to the edges and corners.
