The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Wear with associated cracking and a few small, scattered losses is to the corner tips and edges. A hairline incision is to the lower left corner. A few hairline cracks are occasional to the passages of heavier impasto, and a few gently compressed impasto peaks are occasional. A few pinpoint white accretions are visible, possibly in keeping with the artist's working method. A small, possible loss is to the figure's hair. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
