The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet undulates slightly and is slightly discolored. It is hinged periodically along the upper edge to the backing board. Artist's pinholes are to the corners, minor creasing and faint handling marks are occasionally along the edges and to the corners, and a few tiny partial tears are occasionally along the extreme edges. Only visible underneath the mat window, slight discoloration is along the perimeter, presumably a vestige of prior framing. Tiny drying cracks, a few with associated pinpoint losses, are to areas of heavier application of ink, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. Only visible under ultraviolet light, a few pinpoint spots of foxing are infrequently.
