The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This work has not been examined outside of its frame. Very minor wear is to the corner tips. A small loss is to the right edge, and a tiny loss is to the impasto peak within the painted passage of fire. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
