The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A wooden strip frame is affixed to the side edges of the canvas, and the canvas is slightly slack. Minor wear, faint rubbing and fine hairline tension cracking is to the corner-tips and turning edges. Pinpoint holes are scattered to the upper extreme edge. A fine linear scuff is right of center near the center right extreme edge in a navy painted passage. Visible under close inspection and raking light, a fine hairline crack and abrasion are to the lower left extreme edge. Pinpoint accretions are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
