The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed and the side edges of the canvas are covered with tape. Faint stretcher bar impressions are to the vertical edges of the canvas. Minor wear and rubbing is to the corner-tips and extreme edges. A few pinpoint accretions and tiny spots of stray media are occasional. Visible under close inspection, a few faint surface scuffs and pinpoint losses are occasional. Visible under close inspection and ultraviolet light, a faint transfer mark is left of center to the left of the head of the figure holding a saxophone. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
