拍品的状况可能存在极大差异，而由于其性质使然，拍品难以处于完美无瑕的状态。拍品均以拍卖时的状况出售。

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips and two small nicks are to the right lower edge of the sheet. A few fine abrasions are to the lower center edge. Time staining is to the edges of the sheet, not visible when matted and framed. A few pinpoint accretions and pinpoint losses, some with associated tearing, are occasional. An abrasion with tearing and skinning is to the lower left quadrant of the sheet and another possible one is above center to the upper orange, only visible under raking light. Possible abrasions are to the upper left corner in a brown colored passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
