The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically at the horizontal edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are to the left corner-tips, and the edges of the sheet are deckled with minor associated wear. Tiny nicks and soft creasing are occasionally to the corner-tips and extreme edges, and a minute partial tear is to the upper right edge. A short vertical scuff is near the lower left corner. Drying cracks are occasionally to the black painted passages, and a few associated spots of lifting and tiny losses are to the upper left quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
