There is scattered wear to the edges and corner tips of the Masonite panel. A crease in the collage is present along the contour of the subject's neck, likely in keeping with the artist's working method. Some of the collage elements have shifted slightly in tone. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
