A pinpoint spot of loss is to the lower right corner-tip. Upon close inspection, surface variation, such as pinpoint air bubbles, short, stable cracks and embedded accretions, is infrequently to passages of heavy impasto, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working method. A few hairline surface scuffs are to the lower right quadrant, and a minute brown accretion is to the center upper quadrant in a white painted passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
