The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is slightly slack. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone. Minor wear, creasing, slight rubbing and tiny nicks are to the corner-tips and edges and a small scuff is to the upper right corner of the sheet. A small loss is near the lower left extreme edge and another is to the lower right corner-tip in a white painted passage. Abrasions are along the left extreme edge and lower left extreme edge and a few indentations are to the upper left extreme edge. Staining and discoloration are to the upper edge of the sheet. A layer of imbedded dust is occasional to the thicker applied paint and a few compressed impasto peaks are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
