The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined outside of its artist's frame. Rubbing, scuffs, accretions and a few tiny losses are occasional to the artist's frame, most notably to the upper left corner. The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the edges. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips and periodically along the extreme edges. A few faint surface scratches are to the upper right extreme edge and another is to the lower left extreme edge. A small scuff is to the upper right corner of the image and a pinpoint accretion is to the right of center near the rightmost cheek of the figure. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
