The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the mat along the upper edge and has shifted slightly in tone. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips and center vertical edges. Faint creases, tiny nicks, handling marks and a few fine abrasions are occasionally to and near the corner-tips and edges. Visible under close inspection, a tiny spot of skinning is to the lower right corner and a few fine indentations are along the right edge. A small spot of rubbing is near the center right edge and a fine indentation is near the figure's proper right arm, possibly in keeping with the artist's working method. Two fine abrasions are near the upper left corner. Pinpoint accretions are occasional. Visible under ultraviolet light, time staining is to the edges and a few pinpoint spots of foxing are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
