Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is slightly slack. Hairline tension cracking, minor wear, rubbing, and small losses are to the corner tips and turning edges. A tiny puncture is to the lower left turning edge, and two more are to the upper side edge. A few frame abrasions and stray media from the gilded frame are intermittently to the extreme edges. Fine drying cracks are occasionally to a few impasto peaks. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
