The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Minor wear is to the corner tips. A very slight hairline tear with associated fraying is to the upper left side edge, not affecting the image. Fine hairline cracking is to the turning edges. A few areas of radial cracking are to the upper third of the canvas, most notably to the passages of heavier impasto. Slightly raised hairline cracks are occasional to the facial composition, also most notably to the upper third of the canvas and within passages of heavier impasto. A few gently compressed impasto peaks are present. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
