The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The side edges of the canvas are covered by a wooden strip frame. The canvas is strip-lined, and a possible varnish layer is present. An area of paint loss is near the upper right corner. There is a circular crack pattern above the lower edge, and diagonal cracks are intermittently visible throughout. A pinpoint accretion is to the lower left quadrant. Under ultraviolet light, inpainting is visible to the circular crack pattern.
