The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. A fine layer of surface dust is present, most notably to the impasto peaks. A stretcher bar impression with associated cracking is visible at center. Minor wear, rubbing and hairline tension cracking with associated losses are to the corner-tips and turning edges. Handling marks are to the upper left quadrant in a yellow painted passage. Linear abrasions are scattered, most notably to the right extreme edge and to the lower left quadrant in a black painted passage. Hairline and drying cracks are scattered and nascent cracking is scattered to the yellow painted passages. A few tiny losses and drip accretions are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
