The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corners and undulates very slightly. Very minor wear and artist pinholes are to the corner tips. A hairline tear and a few pinpoint losses are to the upper edge, likely in keeping with the artist's working method. A few handling indents are also occasional to the extreme edges. A hairline tear is just left of the window, possibly inherent to the sheet, and a few faint rubs are visible to the right of the candle. Two pinpoint brown accretions are near the right edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
