The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge and undulates slightly at the lower edge. The edges of the sheet are deckled and the sheet has shifted slightly in tone, most notably to the edges. An artist's pinhole is to the upper center edge and a pinpoint hole is to the lower right corner just above the signature. Minor wear, adhesive residue and faint creasing are to the corner-tips and edges. Visible under close inspection, a few tiny losses are occasional, and very fine drying cracks are to the yellow painted passage near center. A pinpoint accretion is near the upper left corner and another is near the lower right corner. Visible under ultraviolet light, areas of possible artist correction are to the white painted passages. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
