The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The unstretched canvas is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and undulates slightly. A faint crease is to the lower right corner-tip. Visible under close inspection, handling marks and a few pinpoint accretions are occasional. Minor wear and rubbing is occasional to the painted passages and some passages have a slightly mottled appearance. Visible under ultraviolet light, a small area fluoresces to the center rightmost square in a lime green painted passage, but does not appear to be inpainting. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
