The canvas is slightly slack. A fine layer of dust is present. Faint handling marks and minute scuffs are visible infrequently along the extreme edges. Dots of wear and rubbing are to the upper nubs of the canvas weave, most notably in the lower register. A hairline abrasion is to the purple passage in the upper right quadrant. A few small nascent cracks are to the white passage, most notably above center and near the lower left vertical edge, all of which are visible primarily under extreme raking light. A few linear passages of craquelure are visible occasionally near the left vertical edge. A pinpoint loss is to an impasto peak below and right of center. A small linear accretion with an increased sheen is to the white passage in the lower right quadrant, and a few pinpoint accretions with an increased sheen are intermittently throughout. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
