The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
(i) The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner tips, and the upper and left edges are deckled. The sheet has shifted in tone, and faint discoloration is to the extreme edges, likely from a previous mat. A tiny area of soiling is to the upper right corner tip, and a pinpoint loss is to the green painted passage in the lower right quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
(ii) The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner tips. The sheet has shifted in tone, and faint discoloration is to the extreme edges, likely from a previous mat, most notably to the painted passages. Minor bumping is to the corner tips, and a tiny tear is to the upper left corner tip. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
