The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. Wear with a few small associated losses and cracking is to the corner tips and turning edges. Stretcher bar impressions with associated cracking are visible. Nascent cracks and hairline cracks are scattered, most notably to the corners and edges. A few radial impact cracks are just below center. A few pinpoint accretions and a few drip accretions are occasional. Compressed impasto peaks, some with small losses, are also occasional. A repaired tear is visible near the right edge with an associated patch on the reverse of the canvas. Visible under ultraviolet light, a small spot of inpainting is to the center upper turning edge.
