The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is hinged to the backing board at the upper corners. The vertical edges of the sheet are deckled and artist’s pinholes are present at the four corners. A few pinpoint areas of discoloration appear to the upper left of the fire. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
