The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside its frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. Soiling is to the upper edge and lower right edge, and a faint abrasion is to the upper right edge. A few small losses are left of center, and a minute one is to the lower right quadrant in a grey passage. Small accretions are visible occasionally to the left quadrants. A few hairline cracks are visible occasionally throughout. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
