Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. A fine layer of surface dust and a few cobwebs are present, likely due to previous outdoor installation. Minor wear, rubbing, accretions and fine surface scratches are scattered and surface variation is also visible. Visible under close inspection, two linear stabilized cracks are to both knee areas of the figure and a faint indentation is to the figure's right outer thigh. Oxidation is visible , most notably to the cylindrical element of the sculpture as well as the area where the figure's feet meets the base. Shells have adhered to the work in places, likely due to previous outdoor installation. Handling marks and fine surface scuffs are occasional to the lower base.
