The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board. The sheet has slightly shifted in tone within the mat window. Small spots of disturbed fibers and minor soiling is to the upper corners and center upper edge, visible underneath the mat, presumably a vestige of previous hinges. Pinpoint accretions and a few small spots of discoloration are visible occasionally, some visible underneath the mat.
