The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically to the backing board and undulates slightly. The vertical edges of the sheet are deckled. Faint wear and a few soft handling indents are scattered around the perimeter. Drying cracks are visible on the dark pooled painted passages. A very faint scuff is near the lower right corner in a dark blue painted passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light. The Sam Francis foundation has advised that the work can be displayed either horizontally or vertically.
