The sheet is hinged at the center upper edge to the backing board, and has deckled left and lower edges. The sheet is slightly irregular in shape, presumably in keeping with the artist's choice of support. A few minor dints and some wear are to the upper edge, and a minute spot of discoloration is to the upper left corner, all visible underneath the mat. A faint handling mark is to the center lower edge, and a more prominent one is to the lower right edge. A few small, soft creases and a faint mat impression are to the lower edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
