A wooden strip frame is affixed with nails to the side edges of the canvas. A fine layer of surface dust is present to some of the impasto peaks. Small spots of stray media and light surface soiling are in keeping with the artist's working method. Small fibrous accretions and minor wear to impasto peaks are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
