The work is structurally sound. There are scattered chips and losses to the stained surface, predominately at the side edges near the shoulders, and on the top edge and side edges of the head. A few surface fibres are scattered in places, likely from old packing material. Under close inspection, there are a few hairline cracks to the cedar. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
