This work has not been examined unframed. The paper elements have shifted in tone. Light soiling and discoloration is throughout and minor rubbing and loss is to the gold leaf, likely in keeping with the natural aging process of the media. A few soft creases and faint abrasions are also throughout, likely in keeping with the artist's working method. Only visible under raking light and close inspection, a hairline tear is to near the upper left edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
