The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and has shifted slightly in tone. The lower edge is deckled and artist's pinholes are to the upper corners. A few soft creases are visible intermittently, most notably in the lower register. A few small oil and adhesive stains are visible intermittently, all vestiges of the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
