The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Wear and soiling are to the artist's frame. Hairline cracks are to the interior corners of the frame. Handling marks and minute losses are visible intermittently along the edges of the negatives. Adhesive residue is visible infrequently. Two accretions are to the glass above and left of center. Hairline scratches and wipe marks are to the photographic negatives, presumably vestiges of the artist's working method.
