The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The reverse of the sheet was not examined. The edges of the sheet are deckled. A loss with associated skinning is to the lower left corner. Small areas of fine cracking and lifting, some with associated pinpoint losses, are intermittently to passages of heavier paint application. Rubbing is to an impasto passage below and right of center. A few paper accretions are visible in the lower register. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
