The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is age-related surface wear, light scratches, light rubbing to the gilt, as expected.
- The cover does not sit flush to the base as the interior gilt rim of the cover is warped.
- There is light pitting to the enamels and some small scattered losses, in particular to the finial of the cover.
