The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In fairly good 'country house' condition overall.
The ormolu with rubbing, polish residue and heavy build up of dirt and dust to the casting overall.
The nozzle rather bent.
The patinated bronze body also rubbed, and with an uneven greeny-brown patina.
The marble base with nibbles and knocks to the extremities. The bottom of the base with evidence of natural fissures which have apparently resulted in a break historically, now restored.
The marble base does not sit flat.
One corner of the base with losses, which is visible when viewed from one side.
Otherwise highly decorative.
