The beveled Victorian plate within a pounced, foliate and shell-carved eared frame with bead-and-reel slip and foliate-carved edge, surmounted by foliate-carved swan-neck pediment centred by a pierced acanthus-carved cartouche, above a spreading entablature, the sides hung with drapery, with a wavy apron centred by a scallop shell, re-gilt
