The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This attractive knife-box is in fair overall condition.
There is some shrinkage, warping and related cracking throughout, notably (but not limited to) there is a repaired/filled vertical crack to the rear left-hand corner, there is a small related veneer loss that has been filled and coloured, this is relatively unobtrusive. There are minor losses and repairs to the veneers throughout, mainly to the chequered banding, some of which is a little loose.
The silvered/white metal mounts have tarnished and would benefit from cleaning.
The fitted interior removed at some time and the now vacant interior lined with blue paper which has been torn away to the edges, the interior of the lid veneered and inlaid with spray of flowers in line with the external decoration.
