The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overally fairly good restored condition.
With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use.
Overall there is a loss of definition to the drawing and inlay to the marquetry and the table would probably benefit from some sympathetic restoring to bring out the historic colours and definition.
Previously the veneers were lifiting and there were losses throughout. These were replaced around 15 years ago by Arlington Conservation.
The veneers to the marquetry with repairs, restorations and some replacements.
The drawer lining with historic shrinkage splits with associated pasted-paper repairs.
The drawer with replaced lock and evidence of repair to the bottom right edge of the drawer facing.
Otherwise structurally secure and ready to use.
