The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The painting itself is in good condition. Some slight water damage to the sky above and the silver water has tarnished and dulled over time. The red border with some holes (worm?) near the edges. The outer rules with some losses and some minor smudging to the inner rules. Two fabric-lined strips of card affixed left and right, held by old tape. The reverse with pencil inscription and 'no.4'. Remains of tape/tabs at the bottom and top edges.
