The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The main painting with some minor flaking and rubbing in places, notably on the surface of the pink jars and the upper alcove above the head of the central lady. There is a crease in the bottom left corner which intrudes into the painting field by approx 1cm. The margin with some scuffing and losses from tears around the edges, perhaps when cropping. The remains of two tabs at the top edge. The reverse with 'No.16' in blue pen and some other pen marks. Three edges with reinforcing strips.
