In overall fairly good restored condition.
With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use.
With evidence of historic but apparently inactive woodworm to the rails .
The tapestry seats in good condition overall with a few minor loose threads and areas of wear but retaining strong colour and restrung.

Chair A (the later chair)
The trelliswork back with several vertical breaks to the timber which would benefit from securing to avoid further damage. Evidence of further repaired, historic, breaks.
Back left leg with spliced repair.
Front left pierced bracket loose and requires securing.
The cross braces replaced.
Evidence of restoration and securing to the arms.

Chair B
The trelliswork back with two vertical breaks to the timber which would benefit from securing to avoid further damage.
The left hand arm slightly loose in joint.
The scrolled front of arm with evidence of historic plugged restoration.
Back right leg with spliced repair.
The lefthand rail to underside apparently replaced or refaced.
With evidence of old upholstery holes to underside.
Cross braces replaced.
The pierced brackets all replaced.

Each structurally secure however and ready to use.
