Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall fairly good decorative condition. As stated previously drilled for electricity, with various holes and filled holes present to the reverse. The ormolu with heavy tarnishing, pitting and speckled dark marks and would benefit from a clean. A heavy build up of dirt and dust to the crevices of casting overall. The patinated bronze figures well-cast and with a chocolatey brown appearance. The marble with knocks and scratching, particularly to the extremities. The red griotte with a slightly discoloured appearance, probably due to bleaching. One candleabra would benefit from tightening to the base, and both would benefit from the screws tightening overall. Wax residue to the nozzles. Otherwise both highly decorative and stable.
