The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Mark on underside of body clear, mark on cover clear, mark on foot rim rubbed, later French control mark very small and just visible, base for cross finial re-soldered to cover, possibly with lead solder, the cross is detachable, some shallow bruising to the panels, hasp and bracket on front later as the bracket is attached in the centre of the engraved coat-of-arms, turned pendant motifs on the underside of the body not quite straight, the baluster stem possibly re-soldered above the lower cylindrical section, the engraved inscription clear, slight bruise to foot rim.
