The first, cylindrical slightly tapering form in striated blue agate with convex top and base, the cover and base bordered with a pierced gold mount stamped, engraved and chased with fluted scrolls twisted with floral swags and interspersed by a bird, a squirrel and a dog, reeded gold rims, the second, polygonal tapering form in puddingstone, the mounts reeded, set with a rose-cut diamond pushpiece
The agate case: 412 in. (11,5 cm.); the puddingstone case: 338 in. (8,5 cmm.)
