The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Both elements in generally good overall condition with some marking and wear. The paste-mounted casket:
Slight movement to top panel. Some losses to the ormolu to the corners of the cover and elements lacking to the fitted interior. Silk lining discoloured with some loss. The musical movement not presently functional, the internal compartment housing this probably originally with a glass cover, now lacking. The internal fittings largely complete but with three obvious losses, the handle to the scissors broken.
The dressing table-form casket:
Deteriation and loss to the silvering of the original mirror plate and to the fabric covering of the flanking pin-cushions, as visible in the illustration.
The musical movement not presently working; it is enclosed by a hinged panel to the front.
