A Harry Wright’s Pocket Base Ball Score Book representing twenty-three games during the National League’s Boston Red Caps’ 1881 season, scored completely in the hand of Red Caps Manager, Baseball Pioneer and Hall of Famer Harry Wright (1835-1895). Eighteen of the meticulously scored games are initialed H.W. in the box marked Scorer, while one is signed H. Wright. Covering games between June 21st and July 21st, 1881, Hall of Famers represented include Cap Anson, Mike “King” Kelly, Pud Galvin, Ned Hanlon and Jim O’Rourke. Scored by Wright in pencil. Overall Excellent condition with some wear to the spine.
